About

Our Parish Council (also called a Parish Pastoral Council) is a group of people whose job it is to:

• promote the spiritual growth of the parish community;
• plan ways for the parish to carry out the mission of the church;
• serve as a consultative body that assists the pastor in matters of pastoral activity;
• deliberate on matters of importance to the parish.

The Parish Council is not a governing board and does not make decisions as boards of trustees, civic and/or business councils often do.

Mission

To share with pastor the responsibility for serving the parish community and the church as a whole; To serve as a vehicle through which all members of the parish community may share ideas and propose actions concerning the needs of the parish; To consult with the pastor in the making of parish policy; To share responsibility with the pastor for the stewardship of parish financial and material resources, and; To establish and review annually, the progress of long term (3-5 years) goals and objectives for the growth and continuing improvement of the quality of life of the parish.

Meetings

The Parish Council meets on the fourth Monday of every month from 6:30pm-8:30pm, except in July and December. Parish Council Members are open to hearing your thoughts and opinions on what is going on in the Parish. Please feel free to contact them after any of the Masses, or at home. All visitors are welcome to any Parish Council meeting by appointment.  Please call any council member or the parish office to make an appointment.
