Social: Get-togethers, trips, meetings...any kind of fun activity where you can get together with friends and have a chance to get to know other teens in our parish.
Ministry: Having the opportunity to reach out to others by using your own unique gifts and talents.
Informing and Including: This means spreading the news about SMILE and making sure that everyone is included in the fun. All are welcome! Talk with friends about upcoming events and invite people to activities and meetings.
Living ~ Loving ~ Learning: It’s all about walking with each other as we journey through these important years of life. In some ways SMILE gives you a chance to put all that you learn about your faith into action. As you know more about yourself, you have a better understanding of what God calls you to do. It is at this point that you can reach out to others and make a difference in the world.
Everybody and Every day: SMILE is a support system. It is a safe and comfortable place to be where people (both adults and teens) care about each other and are there to support and help each other at all times.
NET Ministries (netusa.org) sends teams of young adults all over the country to minister to teens and bring them closer to Christ. We are happy to work with them and host a program called Catalyst. There are NET Catalyst Events for both Middle School (6th-8th) and High School youth. The Middle School Catalyst events take place at St. Andrew in the Church basement and the High School events take place in a few places in Cincinnati. More information can be found below. Please contact Catherine if you plan to register as a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Parish Family so we can cover your registration fee.
